Volunteer at the food festival
TASTE of Anneberg
For the second time, Anneberg Kulturpark welcomes you to the food festival SMAG on Anneberg, held at the former psychiatric hospital just outside Nykøbing Sjælland in Odsherred – a little over one hour’s drive from Copenhagen and around 30 minutes from the ferry to Aarhus.
SMAG on Anneberg takes place on Saturday 6 June and Sunday 7 June.
As a volunteer, you will become part of the festival team behind a food festival where guests can get up close to world-class gastronomy. You will help create the best possible setting for visitors, ensuring they enjoy a great experience with bars, concerts, tastings, a food market and talks with chefs and producers who, in their daily work, create the food and supply ingredients to restaurants.

Practical information
Outdoor food festival
SMAG on Anneberg is an outdoor festival – and it will take place even if a few drops fall from above. That said, we are of course hoping for sunshine.
Shifts
Shifts typically last 4 hours, and there will be shifts from early morning until late evening.
As a general rule, volunteers are expected to take two shifts of 4 hours each.
Tasks
When signing up, you can indicate which days and which types of tasks you would prefer. We will, of course, do our best to take your wishes into account.
Information meeting
We will hold a mandatory information meeting on 6 May 2026 from 17:00–19:00 at Annebergparken 26A, 4500 Nykøbing Sjælland, Denmark (further details will follow after registration).
At the meeting, you will receive a detailed description of the tasks and the shifts you are assigned.
Parking & transport
Designated parking areas will be available for all visitors.
If you are a volunteer arriving by car, you will be able to park in close proximity to your work area. Further details will follow.
Bicycle and motorcycle parking is also available.
If you arrive by train, you can walk through the forest in approximately 20 minutes or take bus 566, which stops on Egebjergvej directly outside the entrance to Anneberg Kulturpark.
Clothing
Volunteers wear a festival T-shirt. The T-shirt is your sign that you are “on duty”.
If you have shifts on multiple days, you will be asked to take the T-shirt home and wear it again for your next shift.
The T-shirt is yours to keep after the festival if you wish – just remember to let us know which size you need.
Alcohol policy
You may not consume alcohol while wearing a festival T-shirt.
Even if you remain on the festival grounds, the festival T-shirt must not be worn unless you are on duty.
Food and drinks
Annebergparken 26A, 4500 Nykøbing Sjælland will be where you start and end your shift and where meals are provided.
One meal is included per shift. Beverages are included with the meal. There will be soft drinks, tap water and coffee available.
A room will also be available for storing bags, outerwear, etc.
Volunteer gift
We greatly appreciate your support and your willingness to volunteer at the food festival SMAG on Anneberg. We could not do it without you.
Therefore, in addition to the T-shirt, all volunteers will receive a goodie bag with tasty treats from our suppliers.
