My paintings often revolve around spaces - spaces that are saturated with light, atmosphere and traces of people. They are empty spaces, but you can often sense that someone has just been there, as if something is smoldering in the corners.

I build my motifs with dots and lasing surfaces, which together create space. I investigate what happens in the encounter between the colored surfaces and the dots: Sometimes the dots tighten the motif, other times the surfaces take over. Each dot is placed several times and often in several colors to create a trembling, sensual feeling.

I create moods through light and shadows, where I dot both light and dark.
