Michael Abel
Fine art photographer
Michael Abel works with photography as his medium.
In his own photography, he is very - but not exclusively - interested in landscape photography. Technically, all photographs are in a way snapshots. In many of Michael Abel's photographs, he often seeks to extract time from the images - so to speak, to make them timeless or perhaps in such a way that it feels as if time has stood still. At the same time - and this is probably a paradox - there is often a reference to time in the works - season, past, future, astronomical time and perhaps the end time.
Michael Abel uses both digital and analog cameras, including Polaroid cameras.
