Helene Holst Echwald

Self-taught visual artist, trained milliner, psychotherapist and educator. Owner of the company "Teatermodisten" which produces all kinds of headwear, masks and costume props.

It has always been the sculptural aspect of the milliner's profession that has fascinated Helene.

The craft has simultaneously, quietly and simultaneously, helped to develop a textile imagery where creative, experimental, free embroidery can be expressed in different ways.

Helene is interested in how crafts and textile art can complement each other from a sensory approach. Colors, layer upon layer of fabric, works that slowly grow are Helene's form of expression.
